Developer Track Editor[]
At the time of writing, the current version (7.9.0) has a hidden developer track edtior among other disabled features. For the sake of the developers, methods on how to enable these features will be provided.
The track editor was most likely the only way for the developers to create tracks, and it's really interesting to see how their tools worked.
Initial Menu[]
Once the user first enters into the track editor, they're presented by a choice of different track environments, which I've decided to name: urban, canyon, suburban, mountain, swamp, cave, arctic.
The user can also load saved tracks from the Load button in the bottom-left corner.
After the user selects an environment, they're presented with the choice between the base track layout, which can be flat, downward slope, upward slope or bumpy.
The flat layout is the most versatile, because you build the track higher in the world, so you have plenty of space under the driving line.
Once a track layout is selected, the user is put in the editor, and can begin creating the track.
